I'm Baaack...

Hello there, Gentle Reader.  It has sure been a while.

I've been...  uh...  really busy.

My Mommy was here.  So freaking nice.


I just loaded the dishwasher for the first time in three weeks.

I know.


I've run out of hangers because all of the clothes are clean and put away at the same time.

I know.


But I know what you're thinking.  What the heck, Mariah?  You haven't been cleaning your own kitchen, or doing your own laundry.  What in the world have you been doing the last three weeks?


Well, I'll tell you.

Four, count them, four dentist appointments.  A root canal.  (shudder.)  Three date nights with the Mister.  Taking the big boys to the movies.  Swimming lessons.  Sanding down and painting three pieces of yard sale furniture in my hot hot garage.  Two trips to the zoo.  And going to the grocery store BY MYSELF.


That's what I've been doing.  And I'm not even sorry.

Today has been a little bit sad for the boysies and me.  We miss Grandma Nell...

And not just because she works like a slave.  Like a dog.  Like a slave dog.

She's just kind of nice to have around.

We miss you, Grandma Nell!  Come back!

sniff, sniff.  I need to go fold something now.  Or maybe I'll eat a cookie...
