Look at all these cutie pies!
This is Lucas's teacher. I'm pretty sure there is a special place in heaven for early childhood educators.
For real.
Our first stop was Walgreen's. Which in itself, is pretty funny. A field trip to Walgreen's? My kid just wanted to look at the toys and Easter candy...
But the part that really cracked me up...
Was all of us parents. Firstly, how many of us came to walk to Walgreen's. But even more than that, how we were all smiling great big at how big our babies have grown, and snapping pictures left and right like they had all just won blue ribbons at the Science Fair.
But really, they had just walked to Walgreen's.
Some of the kiddos were really attentive and good listeners about all the backstage goings-ons of the store...
Some thought it was fun to be wearing sunglasses...
Some knew they were just at Walgreen's. And that they weren't getting anything.
Not fair.
Next we walked over to a local coffee shop where all of the kids got shaved ice. Now that is more like it, thank you very much!
They don't get easier to tote around than this...
And here is, I think my favorite part of the field trip. A more responsible person might have said, "Girls! No... We don't try and break into the bank vault." in a gentle but reprimanding voice.
But not me. No... I took photos. That's funny stuff.
Put your back into it!
So... even though no body's Mom bought them anything cool at Walgreen's, it was still a fun field trip. They all got shaved ice, and some cute little girls almost broke into the bank vault... I'd call that a pretty good day.
